IT Systems Administration – Rome, NY

Rome Research Corporation is seeking a candidate to provide systems administration in support of a Department of Defense contract located on the Griffiss Technology Park in Rome, NY.

The successful candidate must be able to manage systems involved in the Cyber Attack Security Environment (CASE)

• Build and maintain a distributed Command and Control (C2) testbed within a Service Oriented Architecture in support of research, development, demonstration, experiment, test, and evaluation at Rome Research Site.
•  The testbed should include as many operational C2 systems of record as possible, but no less than
• TBMCS-FL
• TBMCS-UL (UL/UC2)
• GCCS-I3 (J)
• JET
• GDSS2
• The testbed should support and include all available lab prototype software services, but no less than
• JASMAD
• ACUMEN
•  IOTA
• ePheonix
• The testbed should be instrumented to support test, demonstration, and experiment analysis and reporting.
• Perform daily patch maintenance and security compliance.
• Critical vulnerabilities must be remediated within 72 hours.
• High vulnerabilities must be remediated within 9 business days.
• Medium vulnerabilities must be remediated within 30 business days.
• Low vulnerabilities must be remediated or commented on within 90 business days.
• Computer Vulnerability Assessor (CVA) notifications require an immediate response. Only four logins are permitted after alert.
• Perform backups and recovery of the systems involved
• Learn the Global Response and Synchronization (GRS) / Global Design and Synchronization (GRS) Global Decision and Support System (GDSS2)
• Administrative Role - Install, update, backup and recover
• Integration Role - Provide guidance on system vulnerabilities and integration support
• User Application Role -Know the system and how it functions from an operator perspective
• Learn the Unit Level  / Unified Command and Control (UL/UC2) System
• Administrative Role - Install, update, backup and recover
• Integration Role - Provide guidance on system vulnerabilities and integration support
• User Application Role - Know the system and how it functions from an operator perspective

Configure and maintain network connection between the C2CC, CCF and ESC laboratories via encrypted VPN utilizing TACLANES and underlying routers

• Install and configure the hardware required to support the networks
• Maintain accreditation paperwork supporting the configuration
• Function as liaison with remote sites sustaining network configuration and connectivity

• CSA level accreditation including an elevated privileged CAC for the CAOC 21 Administrative Group
• Swipe Access to the C2CC F5A laboratory
• CAC for RRS Computer Account
• SAFMC SIPRNet account
• COMSEC Training
• SIPRNet Training
• System Administration Training
• A+ Accreditation

Telecommunication Technician - Rome NY  

Rome Research Corporation is seeking a Telecommunication Technician. Responsibilities include: Installation and maintenance of communications and cable systems.  This includes: twisted pair copper, such as CAT5/5E/6; multi and single mode fiber optics, both inside and outside plant cable; communication facilities and hardware.  Coordinate with our Air Force customer to support communication program functions on site, in accordance with all applicable Department of Defense, Air Force and local guidance and instructions.

Minimum qualifications required: Strong customer service, verbal and writing skills.  Familiarity with the following: reading blueprints; entering data into Nortel Telephony Management (TM) system; MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel and Outlook; Telecommunications hardware and cabling made by ADC/Krone, Panduit, Flex Tray, Corning, Leviton or others. The ability to obtain a Government Secret security clearance and to lift 50 lbs.  Comfortable working on ladders and cat walks Prior experience and training with PBX equipment and Experience with Air Force, or DoD telephony systems, and instructions regarding their operation is desired.

Senior Marketing Specialist - Rome NY

Rome Research Corporation is seeking a Senior Marketing Specialist with a strong background in performing US Government IT services. This person will join the Business Development Directorate and contribute to corporate growth in the IT sector.  Ability to build positive relationships within the company and externally with Government contracting personnel and program managers is necessary.  Occasional travel to represent RRC at Government conferences and seminars is required. The Senior Marketing Specialist will:

• Participate in identifying growth opportunities,
• Contact other companies to create/promote successful teaming strategies,
• Conduct market research and analyze collected data,
• Prepare corporate qualification and capability reports for management and customers,
• Prepare monthly reports dealing with short-term business forecasts, and
• Develop proposals.

The qualified candidate will possess 7 to 10 years of US Government IT service experience (DoD preferred) along with the knowledge and expertise to work autonomously. Candidate should have a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent training and have one or more industry IT certification (i.e.: MCSE, CISSP, ITIL, CCNA). Applicants must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Rome/Utica area in Central New York. 

Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Candidate must have a current Secret personal security clearance. Successful applicant will be subject to drug testing. Satellite Communications and Technical Control Facility Technicians - Various Locations

 

Electronic Technicians - Multi-Media Gateway Facility Landstuhl, Germany

Rome Research Corporation is seeking Electronics Technicians with experience in Satellite communications and Information Technology Technicians to support the DSCS GIG facility at Landstuhl, Germany.  Operates three DSCS X-band ground stations and three commercial Ku-band terminals and one C-band terminal, Joint Node Network (JNN) or Regional Hub Network (RHN). Responsible for the operation and maintenance of strategic Teleport, DKET, and DSCS Satellite Communication earth terminals supporting DISA requirements.  Directs troubleshooting of satellite equipment and baseband equipment to include IDNX and ATM switch.
