COOKIE POLICY

INFORMATION ABOUT OUR USE OF COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES

Effective date: July 7, 2025

ParTech, Inc., including its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively referred to as “PAR”, “us”, “we”, or “our” as the context may require) uses cookies and similar technologies to provide the Products and Services and improve the Sites (as defined in our Privacy Policy), including to help us customize your experience, analyze our web traffic, and improve our offerings.

This Cookie Policy supplements the Privacy Policy and will be treated as part of our Terms of Service and is automatically incorporated therein. Moreover, this policy explains these technologies including first- and third-party cookies, pixels, web beacons, and flash cookies, and how you can control them. The Site may include services provided by third parties, and the types of cookies and external sites listed in this Cookie Policy are intended to provide timely information. Nevertheless, the internet is rapidly changing, and the Site and technologies may change from time to time. You should check back periodically to review updates to this Cookie Policy, including changes to the Site, technologies, or partners.

For more information about this Cookie Policy, please refer to the contact details below.

WHAT IS A COOKIE?

Cookies are small data files that are stored by the web browser (for example, Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Safari) on your computer, mobile device, tablet, or other internet-enabled device. Cookies allow a web server to transfer data to a device for recordkeeping and other purposes. They allow websites to store things like user preferences. You can think of cookies as providing a ‘memory’ for the website, so that it can recognize you when you come back and respond appropriately.

WHAT IS A WEB BEACON?

Web beacons, such as clear GIFs, web bugs, tracking pixels, or pixel tags, are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, web beacons are embedded invisibly on web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We facilitate our clients’ ability to learn more about your interest in their campaigns at their request through their use of these web beacons on our Sites. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly. As a result, declining cookies will impair their functioning.

WHO PLACES COOKIES?

First-party cookies are cookies placed by us. Third-party cookies are cookies that are set by a third-party entity from a domain other than the one being used by the user at the time of access.

WHAT IS DEVICE IDENTIFICATION?

Device identification is a technology that identifies devices by collecting information from the browser on the device, such as the browser version, operating system, IP address, installed fonts, time zone, and more. These pieces of information are used to uniquely identify a device. The device identification generated through the device identification process may be stored in a cookie.

WHAT IS ONLINE BEHAVIORAL ADVERTISING?

Online behavioral advertising refers to the practice of online advertisers and website owners using information collected through both first- and third-party cookies for the purpose of building user behavior profiles and delivering targeted advertising and content to users based on user preferences.

WHAT COOKIES DO WE USE?

Below are descriptions of the different types of cookies we use on the Sites. Please refer to the List of Cookies table below for additional information about the cookies we use.

First and Third-Party Cookies: whether a cookie is ‘first’ or ‘third’ party refers to the domain placing the cookie. First-party cookies are those set by a website that is being visited by the user at the time (e.g., cookies placed by www.partech.com). Third-party cookies are cookies that are set by a domain other than that of the website being visited by the user. If a user visits a website and another entity sets a cookie through that website this would be a third-party cookie. Third party cookies enable third party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g., advertising, interactive content, and analytics). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognize your computer both when it visits the applicable website and also when it visits certain other websites.

Local Storage Objects and Flash Cookies are different from browser cookies because of the amount of data, type of data, and how data is stored. These cookies, among other things, collect and store information about your use of our Sites, fraud prevention, and for other Sites or application operations. Cookie management tools provided by your browser will not remove Flash cookies. To learn how to manage privacy and storage settings for Flash cookies click here: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager.html#117118

Please note that setting the Flash Player to restrict or limit acceptance of Flash cookies may reduce or impede the functionality of some Flash applications, including, potentially, Flash applications used in connection with our Sites.

Marketing Cookies collect information about your activities on the Sites to help determine what promotional content is most relevant and appropriate to you and your interests. Websites may use them to deliver targeted advertising or limit the number of times you see an Advertising, which helps improve the effectiveness of campaigns and the quality of content presented to you. Marketing Cookies may be set by the website you’re visiting (first-party cookies) or by third-party services. We allow our third-party service providers to use Cookies on the Sites for the same purposes identified above, including collecting information about your online activities over time and across different websites. The third-party service providers that generate these Cookies have their own privacy policies and may use their Cookies to target advertising to you on other services, based on your visit to our Sites.

Necessary Cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but that will cause some parts of the site to not work. These cookies do not store any Personal Information (as defined in the Privacy Policy).

Preference Cookies allow us to remember the choices you make while browsing the Site and to provide enhanced and more personalized content and features, such as customizing a certain webpage, remembering your preferred language or region that you are in, remembering if we have asked you to participate in a promotion, and for other services you request such as watching a video or commenting on a blog. In order to permit your connection to the Site, our servers receive and record information about your computer, device, and browser, potentially including your IP address, browser type, and other software or hardware information. If you access the Site from a mobile or other device, we may collect a unique device identifier assigned to that device (“UDID”), geolocation data, or other transactional information for that device. All of these features help us to improve your visit to the Site.

Social Plug-in Tracking Cookies can be used to track both members and non-members of social networks for “additional” purposes such as behavioral advertising, analytics, and market research. On the Sites, we have included content from Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram to promote web pages (e.g. “like”, “pin”) or share (e.g. “tweet”) on social networks like Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. This content is embedded with code derived from Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram and places cookies. This content might store and process certain information for personalized marketing and any data retrieved is anonymized as much as possible. Please read the privacy policies of those social networks to read what they do with your personal information obtained from the cookies.

Statistics Cookies are cookies that allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of the Sites. They help us know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the Sites. If you do not allow these cookies, we will not know when you have visited the Sites and will not be able to monitor its performance.

HOW LONG DO COOKIES REMAIN ON MY DEVICE?

Persistent Cookies remain on a user’s device for the period of time specified in the cookie. They are activated each time that the user visits the website that created that particular cookie.

Session Cookies allow website owners to link the actions of a user during a browser session. A browser session starts when users open a browser window and finishes when they close the browser window. Session cookies are created temporarily. Once you close the browser, all session cookies are deleted.

HOW CAN YOU CONTROL COOKIES?

Preference Center. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies as soon you visit our Sites. You can exercise your cookie preferences by visiting the Preference Center by clicking this link.  For further information about deleting or blocking cookies, please visit: https://cookiepedia.co.uk/how-to-manage-cookies or https://www.aboutcookies.org/how-to-delete-cookies/. While strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled, you can use the Consent Tool to make choices about the use of statistics cookies from the Sites. Please note that the Preference Center is unable to block cookies used on third party websites that are linked from the Sites. Additionally, turning off or deleting cookies will not prevent device identification and related data collection from occurring.

Using Your Browser. Many of the cookies used on the Sites and through emails can be enabled or disabled through our Consent Tool or by disabling the cookies through your browser. To disable cookies through your browser, follow the instructions usually located within the “Help,” “Tools” or “Edit” menus in your browser. Please note that disabling a cookie or category of cookies does not delete the cookie from your browser unless manually completed through your browser function. Additionally, by disabling or blocking any or all cookies, some features of the Sites may not operate as intended, or you may not have access to features or personalization available through the Sites.

Targeted Advertising. Turning off the browser’s cookies will prevent web beacons and cookies from measuring the relevance and effectiveness of our Sites/emails and marketing as well as the tailored marketing brought to you by our partners. You may also not be able to use all the interactive features of our Sites/emails if cookies are disabled. Consumers who no longer wish to receive tailored Advertisings from us, third party advertising networks, or, if you would like more information about this practice, please visit https://optout.aboutads.info/ (US) or http://www.youronlinechoices.eu/ (EU).

Industry Groups. You may opt out of specific industry group advertising, however, please note that when using ad industry opt-out tools, such opting-out only applies to members of that specific industry group and only those members will no longer deliver targeted ads to you. As such, you may continue to receive advertisements based on the particular websites that you are viewing and this does not mean that you will no longer receive any targeted ads on our Sites or other websites. To obtain information about opting-out of specific industry groups’ targeted advertising, you may contact one of the following:

Typically, we will provide notice of the purpose for collecting your personal information and/or seek your consent (which may be express or implied, depending on the nature and sensitivity of the personal information) in line with applicable law at the time that we collect your personal information. In certain circumstances, we may collect non-sensitive personal information automatically. Once you have given us your consent to the use of cookies, we store a cookie on your computer or device to remember this for next time. Your consent will expire periodically.

In general, you may change or withdraw your consent at any time subject to legal or contractual obligations and providing reasonable notice. If you wish to withdraw your cookie consent at any time, you will need to delete your cookies using your internet browser settings. Your withdrawal of consent may impact the ability of PAR to provide you with some or all of the Sites and/or Products and Services.

ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL RESOURCES?
